Central departments functions

  • Central  assessment department

It plans, directs and co-ordinates assessment control, analyses forms of tax evasion, gathers and processes information, which can be used to boost tax investigations of which it defines the strategies and the methods.
It also plays an active part in major tax investigation operations.

  • Central  general affairs department

It carries out a general management role, and co-operates specifically in planning,
developing and monitoring strategic inter-functional projects.

  • Central  management department

It deals with the accountancy management, budget and financial reports, procurement and logistics; it is also in charge of remote technology contracts and liase with the tax collectors and other external bodies.

  • Central  auditing and security department

It projects and performs systems and procedure for preventing management risks, controls that the management and accounting are duly performed, makes inquiries about the proper application of laws by the offices, and co-ordinates agency security activities for preventing risks and manages the security.

  • Central  personnel department

It carries out functions relating the recruitment, placement and management of personnel. it is in charge of trade union relations, personnel professional training and of the organisation of work.

  • Central  tax management department

It prepares official tax forms, controls the acquisition and processing of tax returns and
documents, manages the help-line, the processing and payment services, it set forth tax
refund procedures.

  • Central  tax provisions and litigation department

It interprets and assesses the correct application of the laws, answers major appeals and rulings, provides indications for handling tax disputes.
