Instructions for the installation of run-time Java for Windows

The JAVA operating environment can be installed by downloading the file java-virtual-machine 1.1.8_009-win.exe (2.701 Kbytes) from one of the following two web sites:

  • When the "Download file" window appears select the option: "Execute the application from the current position" ;
  • The "InstallShield Self Extracting Exe" page will be displayed. Click "YES" and the guided installation of the run-time JAVA environment will commence.
  • Click "next" to proceed through the various phases of the installation until it is completed.
